Fatty Liver in ultrasound, high SGPT but everything else is normal

Posted , 2 users are following.

I was having heartburn/acid reflux for a few weeks so I decided to go to a gastroenterologist. Blood tests and full abdomen ultrasound was performed, and also gave me omeprazole to take for 1 week.

My heartburn is gone now and I have been in a diet.

However, my blood tests showed a very high SGPT of 222, but the rest are normal, and a fatty liver in the ultrasound.

The doctor was kinda baffled as to what caused the high SGPT and fatty liver foundings.

Is it possible to have fatty liver but a normal cholesterol and sugar levels?

Any ideas?
