Fatty Liver - please read, need answers please...

Can anyone please discribe your fatty liver symptoms. I have been told after my ultrasound for upper middle abdominal pain that I had a fatty liver, but then then my doctor says, don't worry about it, 50% of people have this and that this is not what is causing my pain! Well things that I have read online state differently. Many people that have fatty liver state that they have pain, but they all discribe it as right sided pain under the ribs. My pain is definately in the middle, about 2 inches about my belly button. Anyone have pain here as well with a fatty liver diagnosis?

    Hi Pam,

    I have fatty liver and definitely the pain is right sided pain right under the ribs,and is felt like heaviness.

    It might get more painful if you overeat or overdrink alcohol.

    Also the sumptuous of fatty liver is tiredness,change of mood,yellowing on the side in your eyes .etc

      Hi Peter, yes this is why I am confused by my pain being in the middle? Although, some people have discribed left handed pain. I suppose you could have middle pain considering your liver does run along the upper abdomen, just the majority of the liver is on the right....I don't have any yellowing of the eyes (jaundice) cuz this is more a liver disease symptom, or so I have been told, or more advanced fatty liver...
