Fatty pancreas or something else?

For the last 5 years i have problems that come and go away. Indigestion, pain in the lower back, gas ,bloating. I have done colonoscopy and endoscopy and no diseases were found. Blood tests are fine except low b12(malnutrition sign?) So no doctor thought about fatty liver or pancreas because i am 6 feet tall and around 190 pounds. Doctors prescribed me ppi's because they think that my indigestion is caused by too  much acid.

But the problem is not that. For example when i don't eat for 24 hours and the next 7-8 days i undereat(800 calories) my digestion gets much better. I drink 2 glasses of orange juice, 6 boiled eggs and maybe some white bread. So my digestion improves dramatically and then i start eating again(from 800 calories to 3000 calories) and suddenly after some weeks my digestion stops and i can't digest anything, even a banana.

This is happening for the last 5+ years. I don't think it's fatty liver because i did ALT and AST tests and they were normal. It must be the pancreas. But what it is? Fatty pancreas or something else and how do i cure this terrible disease that ruins my life? Maybe if i don't eat more than 2000 calories and stay lean(under 12% bodyfat) will cure it ?

It might be opposite what your doctor told, it might be low stomach acid.

But when i fast and later i don't eat much for some days, my digestion improves and i am able to digest again. Maybe the fast and the orange juices restart the digestion?

I have no idea. Can you see a gastroenterologist and a pancreas specialist. It seems you know your body very well. I suggest keeping a 3 month detailed food and symptom notebook and present your data to your gi doctor. Good luck

I have visited a gastroenterologist.  He did colonoscopy and endoscopy. I told him that i had indigestion and bloating and gas. He gave me ppi's because i had a mild gastritis. To tell you the truth i have lost my faith in doctors. They want only money and they don't give a s**t about you. I told him that i had no improvements and he did not have a clue what to do next. So then i searched and found out that it might be the pancreas. I doubt it's the stomach(low stomach acid) because when i undereat my digestion improves.

Maybe i should visit a pancreas specialist like you say but i doubt i will find any in my country.

Your "low B12" may well be an indication of low acid levels in your stomach which in turn leads to poor digestion of your food.

Try drinking a glass of water with a few drops of lime juice or apple cider vinegar with your meals to increase acidity.

I am not a medically trained person but I've had Pernicious Anemia (a form of B12 deficiency) for more than 46 years.

    I wish you well.
