Fear of DVT and traveling

Hi,

Obese, non-smoker, do not drink alcohol.

I have huge health anxiety, my main concern has been DVT.

I do travel a lot by car and am quite sedentary. Today I had trip for about 5 hours. We stopped about every hour and a half but I still fear DVT because my both legs hurt in full length

Before this trip I was quite inactive for two days.

I spend a lot of time in bed working due to my small flat but try to get every few hours up from bed.

What do you think?

have a discussion with your doctor about this. It’s important to stay hydrated with water. Try to incorporate some exercise into your daily plan even if it’s just starting out taking some short walks. The worst thing to do is remain sedentary. eat a diet that is low in fat and calories. Stay away from junk foods. If you’re not already doing it, transition to a diet that is incorporating vegetables and lean meats rather than carbohydrates. See if you can work with your doctor or dietitian to get to a weight that is good for you.these things would help a lot. Start out with a visit or a virtual appointment with your primary care doctor.

    Take care ❤
