Fed up going around in circles.

I feel fed up today trying to get follow up.  Last week at the emergency gynaecologist he said see me this week being today for follow up and he isn't even there, no dr is.  He told me stop coconut oil and dermovate to clear blisters up and now I have no idea what to out on.  The biopsy has been six weeks and still read in progress on computer so I still don't know anything.  I do worry about VIN. I can't help it.  I feel it needs something on it all but I don't know what.  The blisters have receded a bit but the skin looks like a satsuma skin where they were it looks angry red.  DAM NHS ahead really led me a merry dance and feel so dismayed with it all,  so the biopsy could be two more weeks then a letter with appointment has to come out so I'm all that time not knowing what to put on cream etc wise.  No one to talk to doesn't help.  I've tried to be positive but the lack of follow up care and help is appalling.  Can a biopsy get lost in the system I have read it can,  I've chased Secretary up twice today and rang GP to but the GP had already my last visit.  I just need a rant,

SUE, please don't despair tho I do think you are being given the run around. Bliddy men gynaecologist suck ! If I were you I would get appt with woman GP in your practice tomorrow, and tell her you need help to find out where your results are. Also she can advise on how to treat your 'poorly' bits now... especially if you are in pain Nobody should be in pain. I feel for you. LFeckinS is a diabolical condition without being left high and dry not knowing how to treat it🤗

    That's crazy

    No wonder your fed up!

Get an emergency appointment at your GP, preferably a lady Dr.

Tell them how much pain you are in and you need help now.

If you're anything like me you will burst into tears and they will see that

You can,t to on like this.

Please let us know how you get on.

    Strong painkillers help a bit.

Moisturiser non perfumed like dermol only. Perhaps you need a break

From the steroid ointment? Hope you get sorted and some answers xx

Sue, please look at the British Society for Vulval disease website and go to the page on clinics in the uK. There you will find a list of vulva dermatologists. Find the one closest to you and when you go to a GP ask for a referral there. My GP obliged. Judging by your situation, hopefully yours will too. Fingers crossed x

      Hi Samantha

thanks I looked at the list and one is a mile away he apparently left NHS recently to be at the privat hospital so I will ring this morning for an appointment it says he is a vulvar skin expert and is on a panel or something in UK regards research.  I shouldn't have to pay and don't want to I aren't rich but if it means I get more time with someone I'll do that.  It's just getting bits out for the tenth time now.  You can refer yourself they get the records from GP apparently when at the hospital yesterday I asked about a vulval skin one on NHS and it would be an 18 week wait as it's back to being referred and I'm already under a consultant you see.  I can't and won't wait that long I'm too sore and need some proper help with the blistering.

I think this is the list I looked at he deals with sores, lesions etc but of course any treatment is going to be NHS as it would be too much I suppose he'll issue prescriptions though it's advice we all need isn't it, and some reassurance.

      Hi Sue,

I don't know know how much they charge as my local one was on the NHS. Why don't you call and ask how much. Also some of the private hospitals take local NHS cases so you could ask if he does too. Maybe he has a replacement at the NHS hospital he worked at - google the hospital name and dermatology department and see what comes up. Also is there another hospital in reach that may be a little further that you can go to?

Feel free to private message if you like and I will try and help you find somewhere. I know how stressful this all can be unti; you get it under control.

Also read the thread on an experiment with borax on this site. I have been using the borax and don't he any ore symptoms like many others now.

Do let me know how you get on me good luck x

      Hi Sedg,

aww we thank you for asking it does mean a lot.  I feel calmer I rang a member of the list that Samantha referred to and luckily he is a mile away it's £130 to see him but I hopefully am seeing someone good.  I will let you know it's Tuesday morning.  I rang the secretary and apparently the biopsy is waiting to be signed off. I think when the biopsy was done they should of said it takes six to eight weeks not three like they said and it's a long wait for it and even then you have to wait for appointment to come through so really it's like three months wait.   I'm just trying to be positive at the moment wink

Hi Sue, try and relax, go in with your list of symptoms and questions. I know it's not nice going through the examination again, but hopefully this is one of the last times in a long time. Maybe take a phone/camera and ask if the doctor can take any photos to show you things and to keep as a record. You can download a photo app for free and add a password to store on a phone. Try and rest tonight and catch up later x

Be thinking about you Sue I understand about getting undressed. When I was younger I would throw myself around in gay abandon 😂 Now I have to lie back and think of England 😂 Big 🤗 For you sweetheart X

      Hi

just so anyone is looking at the thread.  The specialist said wrong areas have been biopsied so it looks like back to the drawing board I'm so upset at having to do it all again and wait again.  Apparently I have vestibule adentis but it will need biopsy to confirm, that's why it's so sore.  This would of been missed if I hadn't of gone today, very angry about the whole thing.
