Fed up & in pain, please help!!!!

Hello to all, sorry about the rather dramatic title! I just wondered if anyone else has this awful pain in there hips going into the groin area and then down the back of the legs?  It's not sciatica as I do get that sometimes but this is driving me mad. I'm not sleeping at night as I can't get comfy, ive tried hot water bottles but no good, ive rubbed that heat cream, no good, ive rubbed that voltorol stuff in, no good. The only slight relief i get is in the bath with quite hot water. I would really like to know if anyone esle has this and what eases it at all (or not)   Many thanks for anyone reading my moan up, lots of tender care & hugs to all. Alex.

Hi Alex, yes I get the same pains, but there isn't much I can do about it. Hot water bottles seem to make it worse, creams don't help, the only thing which works a little sometimes is Ibuprofen, I just end up fidgeting all day, not sitting too long, not standing too long etc until I am worn out. Sorry about that rolleyes

    Hi Alexis,

Like the others I too have hip pain. I've found sleeping with a bolster pillow between my knees helps and because they're so long it acts like a body pillow so I don't roll forward. It allows me to get a very stable sleeping position. Also I have a microwaveable heat pillow. It's meant to be used for neck and back but I've found it sits and moulds around my hip and just onto my groin area. It doesn't get rid of the pain but I know for me, it helps ease it.

hope this helps and gentl hugs 😊

I can understand the pain in your hips and thighs......basically it burns in your "undercarriage" altogether!!  I describe mine as  severe saddle-soreness, and sweetie you are not being dramatic because it is a pain you cannot escape from and it is excruciating. Hot baths for me along with 3 hot water bottles - one across shoulders, one in lower back and one to sit on. It sounds rather comical to say but I cannot close my legs!!

    Hi Alexis

I use Bio Freeze which gives some relief.  Have you tried epsom salts in your bath because that can help too. If you can use a pillow between your legs as it helps position the  hips and that helps ease the pain for  me.  Trouble is fibro is so individual and although we have similar symptoms it is different for every one of us.  Do hope it eases soon.
