Hi guys,

Well i just got back from my weekend away where i was super super good! and i couldn't help weighing myself (big mistake!)

I am on day 6 of orlistat today and felt like i had lost a fair bit but the scales said i had only lost 2 pound  i did actually break down (stupid i know). I just felt like everyone on here is losing so much and i had only lost a little when i've pratically starved all week!

I have been having things like porridge for breakfast. Ryvita snack a jacks and low fat yogurt for lunch and weight watchers meals or jacket spud with cottage cheese for tea. If i have felt hungry mid morning i have a bananna but i have not had any snacks in the afternoon or eve.

No bread and only 2 glasses of small wine all week. When i was away i even had them make me a salmon salad for dinner with no dressing! I really hoped for a bigger loss this week am i doing something wrong? I have not had any symptoms except lots of spots!!

Do we take the tablet literally b4 the first bite or a a bit b4?(is that a dum question? sorry)

Please can someone cheer me up, at the moment im eating a weight watchers chicken curry but feel like giving up and getting drunk!! HELP!! x

    Hi Kaz

I felt just like you this time last week when the scales hadn't moved so I had some wine - don't deny yourself

Anyway I took the bull by the horns got the leaflet from BHF - there is a link to download it in one of the posts I think its the one to Lil Jan

Anyway I have kept a food diary this week, eaten low fat and even had too much wine last night. I have done exercise most days and have lost 4lbs.

I guess what I'm saying is don't starve or deny yourself but be sensible and persevere and I'm sure the pills will work!!!

    Hope this helps

    Good luck

    Happy Days

    Laups :D

    Awwwww Kaz

I got the leaflet from the nurse when I went for my first weigh in, didn't even ask for it, she just gave me leaflets and this was amongst them. Might be worth asking your nurse about one next time you go, or send off for it. I think you can get it from British Heart Foundation webby too either in download form or they can send you the book.

Keep your chin up and keep thinking positive, you will begin to lose, maybe don't weigh yourself, only let the nurse or doc do it, well if you can resist the scales, I know I couldn't.....

    Don't give up......

    Hi Kaz,

Don`t be too upset. 2lbs is a good weight loss. Apparently if we lose it steadily...we keep it off.

Mibbe ur not eating enough chick....don`t starve yourself. If u do that....the body kicks into starvation mode and hangs on to the fat we have. You need to eat to loose weight.

Need to have a certain amount of fat also.....thats what sparks the little blue boys into action.

    Keep the faith.

Ditto exactly what I would have said :!:

Hang on, you went away for weekend AND still lost 2lb [b:d6f8021c27]THAT'S BRILLIANT[/b:d6f8021c27] My GP said to expect weight loss of @ 1 to 2lb a week also it depends on what you weigh to start with. The heavier you are the more likely you are to lose a greater amount to start then level out. So chin up chick you've done great :magic:

Keep up the good work and get yourself the British Heart Foundation Booklet \"So you want to lose weight.....for good? I highly recommend it :!:

    Hi Kaz,

Kal is right dont starve yourself. Ive been doing that and Kal pointed out that my body was prob going into famine mode and storing all the fat.

I have just received my booklet from the British Heart Foundation and its brilliant :!: everything is in plain English  and gets you thinking again about what to eat, how much and the different types of food smile

It only took 2 days to come through, I ordered it online, THANK YOU Kal for the link :cuddle:

Only 2 days before my weigh in (batteries still out of the scales!) I dont feel any different not even in my clothes sad Oh well find out soon

    enough :!:
