Feel dizzy and my arms and back keeps tingling, and my muscles feel like lead..

I'm on the verge of tears because of this. For the last few days I've had constant dizziness; not just when standing up or moving etc, but sometimes when I am laid down, I suddenly get the typical, world is spinning sensation. When I'm walking, if I turn my head, it feels like my eyes 'lag' almost and it makes me feel dizzy and naeseous.
On top of feeling dizzy, my muscles feel weak and like lead. I had to use the elevator in school today because the stairs were too much, and even just walking to the back of the bus felt like too much energy physically. I feel weak and unstable in general, when I'm walking I try and keep a hold of a railing or at least walk near a wall. If I don't, I feel like I will trip easily or loose my balance.
And I keep on getting tingling sensations in my arms and back. It comes on randomly, but it appears in my back when I move my neck up or down or stretch it. My arms.. I stood with my arms crossed over my chest for less than a minute before one of them started feeling tigling and numb- like when you sleep on it all night and wake up with pins and needles type thing.
I have general aches and pains - have done for a while now. Because it's so widespread and random, I have trouble getting doctors to believe I do actually hurt. Some days it feels like I honestly cannot walk (because I'll collapse or fall over etc), and I almost asked for a wheelchair when my family went on a trip to the zoo.
It's most frustrating because just now I was trying to get an essay written for my class, but I started feeling dizzy and had to lie down and it's still not gone away properly. And my arms are tingling even now.
I have no idea what any of this could be linked to? Does anyone have any ideas?
I have a doctors appointment in a couple of weeks, but I'd be interested to hear other peoples' experiences of this sort of thing first.

I live in the UK. I have no idea how I would go about getting an appointment with a neurologist and as far as I know, the only way I can get an earlier appointment with my doctor is if I say its an emergency/urgent.. which, sure it's giving me hell but in the doctor's eyes, I don't think they'd see it as an emergency/urgent.
