feel like crying because of my anxiety

I am a 23 yr old female. When I was about 20 i suffered with very bad anxiety to the point where I could not connect with reality. I was a walking zombie. I suffered with that for one yearsuntil I turned 21; I started going out, meeting people, having fun and soon was healed, I told myself I was going to live a normal life and faced it head on, although it still lingered. Recently, I was prescribed Linzess for IBS. The lower dose was not working, so Dr. upped my dose. After taking the higher dose I literally went insane. My "connection to reality" was no longer there, my anxeity had come back 10x worse and along with that came new anxiety side effects, burning head feel, panic attacks where I couldnt breathe daily, I was lost in my thoughts I had no emotion. I did nothing but stay in my bed all day. My head burn feeling got so bad that I was vommiting and went to the ER. They did a CT scan of my head and sinuses and said they found Chronic Sinutis. They prescribed a nasal spray which definately helped what I was feeling in my head, it relieved the burning feel. Dr. told me to stop taking linzess and I am slowly getting back to normal. However tonight, I woke up and felt the taste of blood in my mouth. Sure enough when I spit, there was a faint amount of red color. I immidetialy went into a panic, could not breathe, started coughing, feeling like passing out. After calming myself down, I googled some stuff and realized the little amount of blood was probably the flonase drying out my membranes and sinuses. I am now in my room crying because I just want to feel better. Very random but I would like it if my doctor checked me for meningitis. I am scared the headache, coughing, blood and anxiety is linked to this. Can someone tell me truthfully what they think. Thank you.

Hello there, and I'm sorry you're going through this.
What I've come to realise is that any kind of meds affects us, people with anxiety, a lot. I don't know why, is it because of the chemical imbalance in our body? Is it because we subsconsciously worry? Is it because we can't take much more chemistry in our body? It's still a mystery, but same happens to me. Especially when I have to take antibiotics. I HATE antibiotics.
Anyway, my point is that it's normal that your anxiety came back but this time it will go in less time.
You definitely not have meningitis. You don't have high fever, you don't have stiff neck. Spitting blood can be exactly what you said. You sinuses cleaning and stuff. I spit blood sometimes too and, I too, think I have sinusitis cause I have all the weird stuff in my head.
Hope you get better soon!
