    Hello Rachel,

Im sorry you are going through this and I know its scary.

Have you seen a gp yet? I suggest you do so you can be checked over and you mind put at ease.

Anxiety is hard. Ive had it particularparticularrly bad over the past two months. With breathless and a choking feeling With the feeling of a lump in my throat. Sometimes my body goes weird too, like im empty and fuzzy inside..iits hard to explain but it doesn't feel normal.

Im waiting on counselling and have started some medication which apparently takes a few weeks to kick in. Maybe you should try something like that.

when this first started for me I never felt anxious or stressed but I had the symptoms. I always thought it was strange and that it came from nowhere. Now I feel anxious about the physical symptoms and think abt them constantly. Im doing everything I can to beat this and get it under control.

Just know that we are all here with you and if u need to talk we are here to listen and help if we can. We'll get through this together.

    Nat

Thank you so much.. Itz really reassuring to know that I'm not the only one.. Yea that's exactly what happens to me i get the symptoms and constantly think about them and it makes the whole thing worse... Or even u know what happen to me before, i felt fine for about two weeks and one night i was laying in bed thinking back of how i had felt and all the strange feelings i had from before and then all of those feelings came back...and I'm so frustrated for letting myself think about it..because that's how its all come back...

Rachael, go to your doctor. Tell him about your numbness. Let him check you out and give a diagnosis. If he thinks it's necessary he will get you checked out by a specialist in a hospital. if the specialist thinks it is necessary he will admit you to hospital but it is very doubtful that it will come to that. You need to be properly assessed and find out what this numbness is all about rather than just worrying about it. If it would help take a friend or family member with you to the doctors. Make sure they take you seriously. You need the reassurance of whether this numbness is 'something' or whether it is a symptom of anxiety. Make an appointment at your surgery tomorrow. Good luck

hi Rachel . Tell your doc everything,  it sounds like a physiological problem probably easily cured.  You women have hormoneswink  that sometimes need attention.  Obviously I'm making light of that becouse I'm male, but have some faith in gp's despite the horror stories. They have 5 mins to assess your problems make sure you tell all becouse what I'm trying to say is,  you have no fear too becouse your symptoms don't sound like anything near fatal!  Let's know how you get on
