Anyone have digestion issues? I've been having the feel of constipation even after a bowel move. very uncomfortable..Like I want to have a bowel move but can't. I do have an appt with my GI dr on next week, and it's making me so nervous thinking what could be wrong.

hi mary, ive had this for around 3 yrs since meno, had loads of tests, all ok, so its potentially ibs. common in meno. sometimes it settles. last night i had a chinese for a change and spent the day in and out the loo wanting a poop but not always managing more than a teeny bit. figure the overly sweet chinese irritated the stomach. mums been bunged up with chemo meds and is swearing by wheatabix for brekki and 5 prunes in the evening, must try this! try not to worry as its common to get sluggish in meno

A bunch of water with chia seeds in it and several apples did it for me... I have heard spriulina helps-- it's a superfood that can be taken in power or pills. Other than that I don't knows besides fruit and veggies--try no carbs for awhile.

This is really common in peri. I'm glad you have an appointment, but I wouldn't worry. How much water are you getting per day? I hate to drink water! But if I get even 4-5 glasses spread throughout the day, things are much better.
You could try a probiotic. The gut microbiome is sensitive and can get out of balance with peri. I would ask a chemist what s/he recommends for constipation.

Hi Mary ! That is the most common symptom and the most annoying as it gives you a feeling of being full all the time yet you can't go out and you have very little appetite to eat even though you know you are hungry.
