Hi. Im just about to start my 5th week on 100mg, been on Sertraline for about 6 months in total. Feeling really down and just generally unwell and my thoughts have returned to square one. Should i go back down to 75?

Hi Hun, why did you increase to 100 I'm guessing symptoms were as you describe below?

Are you felt any improvement since upping to 100?  Can you identify a trigger or reason why the thoughts have come back or have they never left ?

I would see about a higher dose as you can be prescribed up to 200mg if you don't see any improvements after this then  it could be that you need to discuss another drug.

Hope your feeling better soon x

Thank you for your reply. I was on 75 and was still having bad days but not as bad as on 100. The thoughts never left but they were a lot less than they are now sad x

ah I see I think you should speak to your doctor again as everyone is different I found that I got used to the drugs after a while and needed to up but I've been on 125 for a good 6 months now. I wouldn't stop with the dose of 100 though u til you speak to your doctor xx

Hi Kathryn.  I'm so sorry you are feeling bad.  I have recently increased my dose, so I know what you mean.  Do you remember how long it took you to feel better after your last increase?  I also would not go back until I spoke with doc.  ((Hugs))

75 mg.  It does help some, but not as much as it used to.  Hopefully, it will kick in soon and I won't have to increase again.
