Feeling absolutely shattered after a grand mal - it's been 4 days now!

Hi - I suffer with epilepsy and my official diagnosis is absence seizures, however I had two grand mals last week, and one 18 months back. This has occurred since I changed from topiramate to lamotrogine. I had no issues on the topiramate.

My first question is whether I should be asking to change to a new drug. It's not advisable for me to go back to the topiramate due to my age i.e. if I want to have children but also because I have history of an eating disorder so it's not the best med to put me on!

What other drugs are out there for this type of epilepsy, that don't have an impact on appetite and weight?

My second question is that I think I hit my head when fitting, because my forehead feels like it's taken a beating. I've been feeling unusually tired and sleeping loads. Has anyone any similar experience?
