I have been on 100mg of Zoloft for a month and a half. Recently started 25mg of Lamictal as a mood enhanser. It help my mood out a lot, but i was having trouble sleeping and felt wired during the day. I went to my dr. for my monthly check up, told her what was going on. She said to start taking my meds in the morning instead of at night and to go up to 150mg of the xoloft and to up the dose of lamictal to 50mg after 2 weeks. I stared this 4 days ago and feel so terribly awfulf. Sick to my stomach, headache, dizzy, increased anxiety of 100%, and really moody, and an over all feeling that i am not ok and should go to a hospital. I am really scared something is really wrong. I have been on the Zoloft for some time and i it wasn't this bad when i started the Zoloft. Has any body elese experienced this when they switched from night to morning and upped the dose.I don't know what to do..i feel really bad and scared! I don't know if i should wait it out to see if i get adjusted to this? sad

Hi Isabella, wait it out, others have mentioned same issues when switching from night to morning, I've been on 100mg for about 11 days now still have the shakes certain days when stress levels are high. I have always taken mine in morning around 730, 8, I'm in week six of zoloft, started at 25 first week then 50 for 3 weeks, now on 100, and still having some issues but for most part feel pretty good, on days I struggle I take 1/2 MG xanax, it helps calm me, talk to your doctor about trazadone to help you sleep works great with zoloft, has really helped me. Hope this helps.

Hi Tim, i asked my dr. for some trazadone. I took my first dose last night of 50mg. I woke up after 6 hrs of sleep which i haven't had that in awhile, i still feel really sedative. My dr. said that side effect could last about a week or so. She also said i don't have to take it everyday if i don't need to. I was just wondering if you had to same experience when you started on them and if you take it everyday or just when you need to? Thanks!!

Yes had same experience for about 3 days, woke up still a little foggy but it wore off pretty quick by time I showered and dressed, I take 50 MG every night because Ive never slept well at least not for several years. Some nights I take 2 I take one 20 min before bed, and usually fall asleep pretty easily, but will wake up at 230 so I keep one by bed and take it, and fall right back to sleep, until about 730. Last night I took 2 at Bedtime , had a rough day, and 1/2 MG xanax, I didn't wake up until 930 this morning!!!!! It was awesome. Good thing I own my own business 😂I've tried nights without not good for me. Hope this helps

Yes, these are the normal side effects when you increase the dose. I don't know much about switching the time me you take it. With a few exceptions when I missed a dose, etc, I almost always take my dose first thing in the morning when I wake because I usually forget to take my med once I get well.

When theres an increase in the med in your system, there's an increase of the side effects, but hang in there and give it time for your body to get to this new dose. From my own personally experience I think the dose is too high for me when I feel cantatonic, extremely drowsy, almost numb after taking it, like spy head is so foggy I can't even think of anything. Take care. Xx.

Hang in there. It will get better. Take it one day at a time. Sometimes you have to even take it an hour at a time. I could totally relate. On Nov 9, I went to ER (here in the states it is Emergency room, I think you guys call it M&E? not sure), but I went to ER with my right leg shaking and tears streaming down my face. The nurse shot me up with Ativan and then my husband came and picked me up. I couldn't even drive home that evening, and now I am back at work, going shopping, joking, like normal. smile You will get to where I am. It just takes time for the med to settle down in your system. Xx
