Feeling awful after unilateral oopherectomy and bilateral tube removal

Hi ladies,

I am exactly 1 week post of from having my left ovary removed and both tubes taken. Before surgery I started with the perimenopause symptoms (anxiety, depression, fog, etc.) I am now supposed to be 1 week away from getting my period and woke up today feeling like absolute garbage. Anxiety is thru the roof, shaking, jittery, hot and cold, very depressed and so tired, all I want to do is sleep. I felt great yesterday like nothing was every wrong, but today is horrible. I can't eat, zero appetite.  Does anybody know if this is from the surgery? Or is this just the perimenopause still kicking my rear end? It makes me nervous and of course my anxiety just goes thru the roof thinking about it. Any experiences like this?

It could be op I had both ovaries and womb taken at 40 years old and 1 to 2 weeks post surgery I went through a what the hell have I done patch plus still sore and not able to do much all adds up. I'm almost a year on now and back to normal after giving myself a kick up backside. It's early days so don't be tough on yourself....make the most of the break from normal routine ....it doesn't last long!

Only 1 week, I was still in hospital 10 years ago now, but I was really unwell. Veins had closed down nurses having big problems with drip lines, I was having hot and cold flushes, sweating so much soaking everything through and through. Discharged and 12 hours later back at hospital with morphine addiction problem. Eventually Dr's figured out I had a Hormone Crisis, my body was craving my female hormones and having a tantrum when it found there was a lack of those hormones. They put me on 1200mg of HRT, I was horrified that it was so much, at the time they were talking about HRT being dangerous. But it worked and brought me back into balance. From there I worked with my local GP, he too was horrified I was on such a hugh dose of HRT, every three months I stepped down to 1000mg, 900mg, 750mg, 600mg, went through many differnet brands names, half tablets, mixed and muddled into I finally stepped off hormones at about 18 months later. Still have the occasional hot flushs, but nothing like post surgery.
