feeling crap

hello folks iv been on sertaline 2 weeks and am fe elin awful dnt wana leave the house and cnt chat to my mates even and am bit paranoid to i was drnkn fr 3 days last week not thnkn about the aftermath but i was feeling tht down i started to look online ere and have seen yous all have been feeling not good either can any1 tell me will these work for me and when i went on them because of bad anxiety and be depressed alot im 25

    hi bren i am also on sertraline and didnt feel the full benefit for 6 weeks try hang in there hun

    Hi Brent..as Julie says it can take anything from 6 weeks to feel the full benefits but it is worth it in the long run..was for me anyway.  A lot of people need the dosage changed to get it right but hang in there and stay in touch with your doc.  I found drinking with them only made the anxiety much worse..things improved a lot when I cut down the drinking and my dosage was upped from 50mg to 75mg. I was on it for nearly year and a half & am now coming off it and so far feeling much better.  Best wishes and let us know how you are getting on

    Brent, It takes time for the side effects to resolve.  I did experience shaking as a side effect and the feeling the my whole body was jittering.  If your concerned that the shaking of your hands is caused by drinking, mixing the two drugs, I would recommend calling your doc and get professional advice.  I'm new to sertaline too and have been advised not to drink alcohol.  Hope you start to feel better soon.

    thanks alot for the advice folks yea mate i am getting alot of jittiring through my body the last few days im feeling a we bit better today which is good it says on my box of tablets to start taking 1 and increase to 2 a day iv started taking 2 from 3 days ago have to see my doc on wednesday see what she says alot of this is probs in my head but im sick of trying to deal with anxiety around people and just wana be myself again and not hide away like a weirdo
