Feeling depressed on 100mg

Hi everyone. I was on 50mg of Zoloft for a few months and it was working great. My social anxiety was non existent, i had confidence in myself, I wasn’t ruminating or overthinking anymore, and my depression symptoms went away. I felt the best I’ve ever felt in my life.

A couple months ago things in my personal life took a turn. I went on hormonal birth control which completely obliterated my mental health. I was only on it for 2 weeks but the mental side effects persisted and my doctor prescribed me 100mg of Zoloft to counteract them. I decided to taper up to 75mg for a month, and after that I started the 100mg.

I've been on 100mg for almost 4 weeks now and I feel so discouraged. I don't have much anxiety anymore but my depression and intrusive thoughts have increased significantly. I feel so apathetic towards everything and I don't have the motivation or will to do anything on most days. Is this normal? Does anyone have any advice for coping with increased depression?

Thanks in advance,

Hanna
