I am male 33 years. Feeling dizzy and off balance since last 2 years. intially it was manageble but since last three months its making me disable.
I made countless visits to doc office with nothing got diagonosys yet. I feel off balance like I am rocking although my body is still. I am facing following
- Lightheadeness, dizziness, off babalance often promident after sleep, i feel like I am in some bubble world. It brings episode of nausia.
- Heavy eyes, difficulty moving eyes. Vision has been degraded, blurred vision, trouble seeing in the night. Sandy/windy eyes. Difficult concentrating on computer screen
- Continues heavy head, sometimes front head, sometimes side or sometime back part of the head. Sometime get pretty bad headache.
- Trouble in coordination, feels like I will drop something that is hold in my hand.
- Slurred speech, During episode of off balance/diziness, I find difficult to pronounce certain words.
- Stiffed neck, although its not showstopper, but sometime I feel my headache is originating from there.
- I feel my legs are warm like I have fever.
I have consulted cardiologist, neorologist, ENT, opthamologist, physical threorapist, allergist and endochronologist, following tests has been done with nothing found except a little high blood pressure for which I am taking Biostolic 5mg since last three months. Also my cholestrol level is little eleveted.
Also I am suffering with episodes of ED since these sysmtop started two years back, its off and on, not sure its related to this.
- Stress test
- Echocariogram
- Heart CT - Calcium score is 0.
- Cardio Vascular ABI
- Hormone test - all hormones ok except testestorone low at 290
- Brain MRI without contrast
- Balance ENG test - Little BPVV identified on left year but Physical threoropist ruled out that after performing epley maneuver two times.
- Lyme disease test
- Allergey test - no allergey found
- Physical threoropist is trying gaze stabalization excersize, he suspect VOR, but no relief yet after 4-5 visits.
- opthamologist examined eye, have very minor catract which doesnt require any treatment. He suggested to check for ocular maythenetia.
Appointment is scheduled for ocular maythenetia in the month end.
I am also planning to visit orthopedics to check if I have cervical related problem as I have stiff neck.
I started doing cario excersice since 4 months and since last 3 moths I am also lifting heavy weights in gym.
So here is my story, I feel like disable everyday as I wakeup with headche, off balance, not able to concentrate on my work. Any real experience who got similar symptoms? Please help.

You should look into seeing a Neuro - tologist, they specilise in inner ear disorders and could help with your dizziness and balance issues.
Have you ever been put on any preventatives in the past?
How did this all start for you?
You are not alone don't worry

Alk this started slowly 2 years back with little off balance feeling, which was not that serious so I ignored. Then it progresses slowly slowly and my visits to doc started with no help. Last three months It increased drastically and feels like hell everyday.
I have been to ENT and he has already ruled out ear problems. Do you think nuero tologist will hel here?

Sounds alot like what I have. Real close. Just went for my MRI of inner ears, nerve connections ets, brain MRI with contrast, Tuesday morning. Had VNG done last week. Still waiting on test results. Been dealing with bouts of vertigo/ dizziness for 10 years. Original diagnosis was bppv. Now it's worse. The tech who did my VNG did tell me my right ear is way way more sensitive. Her words. I knew my left ear didn't respond to the test the way my right ear did. Left I was a little dizzy. Right ear the world spun violently. Been off work a month. I feel OK one minute. Bad dizzy the next. Riding in the car is a nightmare. Docs and therapy is so over booked can't get in for vestibular rehab til the 23rd. Been waiting 3 weeks for that. Get my VNG test results and hearing test on the 21st. Way things been going not sure about MRI results. Hope they send a copy to my ENT as requested. If not I won't get results til I see my primary on the 27th.

It's crazy isn't it. You want them to find something so you have a answer to this torture. At the same time you hope they don't find something bad. I think that adds to the situation.

I am surprised they didn't do your MRI with contrast. Unless you have kidney problems. They just inject the dye. By the time they slide you.back into the machine. The dye is where they need it. Was a simple thing. They put a IV needle in. Draw blood to check kidney function. While lab was working on that, she did my scan of inner ears and nerve connections. By the time she was done with that, about half hour, lab work was back. She slid me out of machine. Injected dye. Pulled IV needle out. Put me back in machine. Did brain scan. Told me to drink a glass of water when I got home to flush the dye out of my kidneys.

Mine started 10 years ago. Felt funny. Didnt really think much about it. Was early morning. I work nights I figured I was tired. Then all of a sudden the world started to spin violently. Lasted about 10 minutes. When it got done it made me sick. Then dizzy bad. Went to hospital. Full work up with cat scan. Showed nothing. Sent me home still dizzy. Went to all the specialists. ENT,endo, audiologist, cardiologist. Nothing. Dizzy for 6 months. It slowly backed off. Then a year later it hit again hard. Wouldn't stop. Things as pinning around me like stuff you see in horror movies. Called for a ambulance at 1am. Thought I had a stroke or something. Was in hospital 3days til it stopped. They stopped it with diazepam. Been on it since. Had a bunch of smaller episodes. Dizzy 3 months then I would feel OK. This time is diff. I get episodes of vertigo daily. 3 or more. Dizzy 24/7. Besides doc apps and tests, haven't left the house since August 17th. No TV, makes it way worse. No comp either. Phone not so bad. Just sit here starring at the wall. Waiting for some answers.

I had it happen at 65 mph on the highway. Try finding the side of the road when it keeps moving. Have my wife drive me around since. Real problem I have this time is I have a ton of things to do to get ready for winter and can't do any of them. And winter won't wait. Leaves are falling already. It's 40 at night. 90 days. Winter is coming fast.

I don't drive highways. I just hope for both of us it is anxiety and we can learn to live with it instead of it taking us over which I refuse to do. I also do not want to take any anxiety meds because I am not a drug person and that means the anxiety won. Hope we both have good days ahead

I take 2 mg diazepam . Helps with the dizziness a little. It used to stop it completely. That's all I take Sept blood pressure meds. Was in the hospital in June for a operation. Had a social worker show up one night after I ended back in hospital for a bad infection. Asking me if I was depressed, suicidal etc etc. I was like umm NO. I'm not on any anti depressants or anything. I was told of the risks of infection. Nurses are so nice and very hot. Lol. Push a button get anything I want. Blood pressure was down so I didn't need my meds whole time I was in there. Better than being at home. Lol. Had to be off work a month anyways. Free wifi. Have a cheap pay as you go phone so could watch stuff or listen to music. I am all set.
