Feeling down not eat anything other then soup for a year

Got diagnosed march last year with inflammation of the stomach lining, was put on Lansoprazole 30mg which I am still taking.

I am finding it difficult to eat anything solid because of a fear of choking, I am living off tomato soup, yoghurt and can sometimes manage mashed potato with gravy.

I feel so alone like I'm the only one in the world with this condition, my family are supportive but also very concerned about my health as my weight has dropped significantly.

Is there anyone else that has or has had any similar condition?

I would love to know that there is some light at the end of the tunnel.

    Sorry to hear you are in a bad place at the moment .

    What was your original symptom . Are you still under a doctor if not then get back straight away as its not right you living the way you are . If the medication is not working or healing your stomach then a different approach is needed.

    Sorry I can't be If more help but just wanted you to know that someone is listening . I've had globus for 3 years now and nothing I do makes any difference .

      Hi Claire my original symptoms where feeling like I was choking every time I swallowed food so the doctor sent me for an investigative camera.

      They found my stomach and throat was red and inflamed because of my stomach acid, they put me on tablets but I have now become so scared of eating that they think it has become psychological.
