Feeling extremely ill all the time, feel like I’ve been drugged

Hello everyone, new member here. Please take the time to read my story as I would value your input.

I’m a 21 year old male and I have been having some debilitating symptoms for a number of years. For about 7 years now I have been feeling extremely fatigued and not right. I feel like I have been drugged by something, I feel soo ill and strange. This feeling is constant, day in and day out. Never goes away. The more I sleep, the more noticeable it is. It is less noticeable when I’ve slept very little. I guess it’s a little bit like that disoriented feeling one gets immediately on waking up, except that it lasts the entire day.

I have other symptoms too, which include constant pain in arms and legs along with constant tingling sensation. I also have memory lapses, or mini black outs, memory problems, concentration issues, brain fog. Also have IBS symptoms, but not sure if this is related. I yawn all the time and my body sort of feels like it’s sleepy, but at the same time I sleep a good amount everyday. I’ve seen every specialist except a sleep specialist so I wonder if this is something I should look into? To be honest I don’t want to see another doctor again as I’ve seen specialist after specialist without answers. Rheumatologist, neurologist, ENT doc, GI doctor, etc. No answers.

Can anyone relate? I don’t know what’s causing this but do know that I need help and cannot do this on my own. I cannot think straight and I can hardly function on a day to day level.

Prior to this starting did you have any illnesses or accident or prescribed antibiotics. presumably you were tested for epilepsy, thyroid problems and vitamin deficiencies and have had a brain MRI.

I have acid reflux and was diagnosed with eosinophilic esophagitis years ago. However, latest gastroscopy with biopsies showed no evidence of this, so it is under control. I was not prescribed antibiotics prior to this. Thyroid has been fully checked, along with vitamins and minerals. I've had a brain MRI twice and an MRI of my entire spine.

    Hi Wananomynous

You are quite young to be experiecning these type of problems. Do you or your family have any genetic disablities? There are a lot of syndromes out there that, can cause this. I have DiGeorge Syndrome. About the sleep issue, be very sure its what you want testing, as if you are found to have sleep apnea like I have, you will have to wear a bloody CPap mask which is linked to a machine that makes sure you keep breathing throughout the night.

I also would like prior medical history of yours, although I know that can be daunging on it's own. Just share what you are comfortable with. I am 55 this July.

I hope you have a good family and friends by your side, I would push for a second or third opinion, never hurts to ask.

Hope you get some help soon

I have a lot of the same symptoms and have been having issues for 3 years now. I've also seen all the same specialists. Have you ever been bitten by a tick? I've had a positive Lyme disease test through a holistic doctor. I haven't been able to get any help for it through regular doctors and I'm still not even 100% sure that's what is going on. It's worth checking into though, if you haven't already.

Yes, but I never saw a bullseye rash. I've read you can also get the bacteria from a few other insects and cat scratches.

Seems in that case that we are not safe anywhere.

For some reason it is always holistic practitioners who diagnose it and that makes me suspicious.
