    Hi Kate,

I’ve never had those feelings from acid reflex! Are you taking any meds? If so do you know what the side effects are? I know when they gave me protonix there were side effects kind of like that! Dr didn’t want to believe it! I just decided to stop taking it! Now I take omeprazole 20mg, but doesn’t seem to help! I have they say silent gerd! I really don’t have the burning just a lot of phlegm and feels like somethings in my throat! Hope this helped! Wish you well

      Tks Diane for replying

I'm taking lanzoprale 20 mg twice daily and ranitidine 150mg twice a day, I feel wretched, been to 4*doctors in last month, had Abdominal ultrasound, bloods and stool tests, all clear, so don't know what's going on

      Hi Kate,

Have they ever done an endoscope? I’m thinking of getting one because I’m not sure if this has done anything to my esophagus! If you done mind me asking why did they do an abdominal ultrasound! I have pain like right under my sternum! One dr told me it was a muscle! Not sure I’m convinced! All the meds you take is for acid reflex? If so that’s crazy that nothing helps! Have you looked up the side effects of any of them?  I understand your flusteration  I’ve been to so many Drs too! No answers!

      Hi Diane

I've had 3 endoscopies and, 3 colonoscopies, thoracic mri, bone scan, ultrasound sound, lots of blood work plus stool tests, all clear but I'm still feeling so ill, taking lanzoprale twice daily and ranitidine to try keep acid down, terrified it's something a lot more serious going on

      HI Kate,

That is a lot of test! I really need to do something! That is my fear that something else is going on! I know how you feel!! Every dr just wants to say I am depressed! Yeah probably after I can’t get any answers! Have you ever seen an internal medicine dr. Just a shot! I just had blood work done after I told the dr I wanted it done! I don’t know about you but I am sick of them sending you to a specialist and you can’t get in for weeks/months! In the mean time you just suffer and suffer! They don’t care anymore like they use to!! I haven’t found a good one yet!! I hope you find someone who will help you!! Good Luck!!!

Hi Kate. Yes I get the back and chest pain with reflux but often feel dizzy and sometimes like I’m walking on a trampoline ( not taking any meds’ other than propranolol for palpitations).

      Hi Allison

Tks for your reply, what does your gp say about your symptoms, are you suffering reflux long

I’ve been having chest pain and back ache for ages but only just been told I have a weak oesophageal valve at the top of my stomach and the consultant is 80% sure this will be causing reflux. I’ve got to have another test to check how much acid is coming back up before he does anything.
