its probably placebo, as the level of ven in your blood stream takes about 3 to 4 weeks to get up to strength. most people get slightly worse when starting on ven, and it can take as long as 10 to 12 weeks, to notice benefits. placebo is powerful though. took me 10 weeks to notice first improvements. however, i did notice a dreamy feeling right from the start, after taking it, which lasted an hour or two, which was pleasant.

Hi Nigel, yeah I was afraid of that - it made very well be placeebo. but I don't know if I mentioned that I'm also taking Wellbutrin with it, and the well future and I've been on for 4 weeks now so perhaps it's the combination of the effexor chemical with a Wellbutrin, I don't know

I felt better within a few days of starting 37.5. I was on that for about 3 weeks and then went up to 75. I felt amazing the next day and stayed that way for about 2 years (until my pharmacy changed manufacturers).

It's a good sign and accept it for the blessing it is!

Hi Hi Missamo that's great news! methinks our brains are alike haha. I'm surprised to hear so much talk about different manufacturers and very levels of quality control, I guess I'll have to keep an eye on what I'm getting

hi....trying to get the same manufacturer each time is hell, chemists will only give you what they have unless you want to ring around your area to see what they have in stock. my first script was venlaxafine , the next one a month later was branded effexor which caused nausea. I've had to fight to get the original one again as it wasent in stock. I have only been taking this drug for 6 weeks. doctors will insist they are all the same and just aren't interested.
