Feeling impatient

Hi, I’ve been taking sertraline for 25 days now  and although the side effects have gone I don’t feel any better. I just want and need to be me again. Should I be feeling at least a little better by now?  I’m thinking the tablets  may not be working for me .

I would talk to your Dr and see if you should increase to 75. 50 May not a high enough dose for you.

Sertaline is a very slow gradual medication, you certainly won’t wake up one morning and be...

    hey presto I feel great!

Its usually so gradual you wont even notice till you realise youve had a few good days then it just slowly becomes more and more till every day is a better day, but the fact you say your side effects are easing off shows your heading in the right direction, that usually the first step that somethings working.

4-6weeks at the same therapeutic dosage is usually how long you have to wait to start seeing benefits.

Youll get there, just takes time 🌹

Thank you for replying. It’s all new to me so I don’t really know what to expect, or truly believe a pill can possibly make me feel like me again.

I was exactly the same when starting out, posted all the same questions & discussions, felt bloody awful aswell and thought that period would never end, but it did... it all passed.

I took my dose increases slow and steady... and I got threw, Ive also recently had several  life changes & challenges going on and Ive so far taken them all in my stride thanks to Sertraline. It is so worth it in the end when you start to feel the benefits.

I know it doesn’t feel like it now... but it will 🌹
