Feeling Like I Have A Lump In My Throat.

Hi,

I'm new to the group and have been experiencing acid reflux for a while now,but recently have started to experience the feeling of a lump at the back of my throat and sometimes in my chest.

I have been taking Omaprazole on and off,but have now bought some nexium to try that.

I havn't been to my doctor yet,as I'm really scared of the outcome.Could anyone advise please.

Thankyou.

    Hi stephen

What you are experiencing is probably "Globus" this is common to acid reflux sufferers. Google it and have a look.

First of all , Nexium is the same stuff like the - prazole’s , they are all Ppi’s , proton pump inhibitors . Very dangerous stuff , doesn’t cure anything and will bring a whole host of problems with regular use . There are some natural ways of dealing with reflux , apple cider vinegar , good probiotics , eating your last meal of the day hours before sleep . What really helped me most is switching to a Ketogenic diet

I have this feeling on and off, especially when I swallow saliva. I keep reading that its very common when you’re anxious.  I noticed that when I’m worried about my health, i feel it more.

I also had exactly the same experience and panicked but scope showed nothing serious and when I found out I was ok the sensation disappeared. It’s a very common symptom of anxiety and reflux

    That’s definitely reflux causing that.

What helped with my reflux was taking PPI’s along with changing my diet drastically.

I will be weaning off the PPI’s because long term they’re dangerous, but for a month they shouldn’t do harm.
