Feeling like I have the flu but no fever

Posted , 2 users are following.

I am going insane! The last three weeks I have felt feverish but have it actually had a fever on and off. I thought I had a virus or something, but it will go for a few days and then come back. And I feel like I have a bad flu with the body aches and shivers, but but temperature is normal. It seems to come back if I have been stressed. Does anyone else get this?

Thanks

    Hi Sally,

When this happens to me, I have a UTI.  It used to be that I would get pain on urination, but no more.  Now I usually just feel like crap.

    You might have a UTI.

      Hi Lynda,

it is odd you you say that because I have had bladder pain on and off the last week like my old UTI's but have never had this crappy flu feeling with them before xx

      Hi Sally,

I had a hysterectomy (they took everything) in mid July 2016.  In mid December 2016, I started to feel bad, but I was on a drug at that time, and associated my feelings of illness with that.  Then in mid January 2017 I got up to use the bathroom 10 times in one night!  Maybe a twinge or two, but no real pain in my bladder.

I thought to myself, 'I wonder if I have a UTI?' Called my MD.  Had a culture done.  I'd had one for a month! Yikes!

I hope I've helped.  Please let me know how you get on. xx

I had my urine dipped and it showed protein and white blood cells so the doctor gave me 3 days of antibiotics. However I sent off a urine sample and it came back clear. I am halfway through the antibitocs and no improvement yet. I also had a load of blood tests and they were normal xx

      Hi Sally,

Well, I guess it's up to you to decide whether to finish them or not--but it might be a good idea to finish them.
