Feeling like I’m in an earthquake, but I’m not really shaking!

I was diagnosed a few years ago with MD and after the initial trouble it has mainly been leaving me alone. Constant tinnitus in left ear and some hearing loss. Vertigo has been very manageable. The last month or so at night, I suddenly feel like we are having a small earthquake - I actually got up to go ask my family if they felt it. They did not because there was not one. This has now happened many times and I check my pulse with my fitbit on and my pulse is fine and I am not physically shaking so I guess it is in my mind. IDK if this is MD related or if I am going nuts or what. Anyone else have this type of symptom? Thanks

    Dear dara1958,

Are you taking anything for your condition? I just looked up one of my emails from a guy who sells Tinnitus 911 or some such thing- the ingredients are green tea eztract, juniper berries, uva ursi, vitamin c, b12, niacin, b6, folic acid, garlic powder, hibiscus, olive leaf extract, and buchu leaves. He claims it works on some people with tinnitus.

I personally won't buy it but I guess it won't hurt to use these ingredients to see if they help. I have suffered from MD and tinnitus for 50 years and my symptoms have gotten worse and worse. I have gotten rid of my vertigo by limiting salt, no sugars and no grains but my hearing in right ear is gone and I only have maybe 20% hearing in my left. So, sorry to hear that you have been inflicted with this horrible condition but don't be discouraged. Just do lots of searching to see what works for you.

    Take care

Well, in my case it was too much carbohydrates and that turns into sugar so quickly. I realized eventually that I also was a pre-diabetic so the sugars were playing havoc in my body. By cutting out sugars, salt and grains, I am able to control my vertigo and at the same time keep my diabetes under control. I keep learning and experimenting all the time to see what works and what doesn't. Each person has their own limitations and tolerance levels so I think it would be prudent for you to look into things that naturally help to get you back to living your life. And, maybe we all are going a little crazy- I think that stress, anxiety, and depression also play havoc with persons with MD and tinnitus. I hope I answered your question!
