Large 4cm cyst burst in my pancreas [cystadenoma]about 3 weeks ago, caused general hepatitis as infected my lover, had episode cp as well.

Just had CT scan and got to seeGP for results tomorrow.Feeling really apprehensive.

Will surgery be needed?

Will there be scarring to liver or pancreas?

Will I get much better,or is this my lot?

I fight hard to manage cp,the burst cyst and hepatitis has been hard to deal with as well, just need to see what anyone thinks about surgery, management etc.

Also my GP doesn't like Creon,I'd like to go on it.how do folks find using Creon?

Many thanks for your support. Cathy

    Cathy,

You are the one person that has me thinking. I'm terrified because the same thing happened to me, and I did nothing about it I however know I should have gone to the (Doctors). I have chronic Pancreatist, kidney stone and at the time of my tests, I had 5 cysts, one had ruptured when they done a biopsy. Then another one burst Four months ago and at the time I thought it was a good thing ( one less to worry about). But I realise it could have been what my latest flare up was about, as the pain I could hardly stand. I am on Creon, Tramadol and Morphine. Please keep in touch you have made me see how not to take everything as part of the Pancreatist. I'm going to make an appointment as soon as I can. Take care I will keep in touch ( Thanks.)

Hi Cathy, from my experience cysts indicate scarring of the pancreas, tell your gp you want to see a specialist as gps have no idea about pancreatitis,I had a pseudocyst removed and was told there was scarring of the pancreas which if you take care you can live with, creon are a must ,your gp is a clown, they produce enzymes to digest your food meaning your pancreas doesn't have to work too hard, stay strong Cathy hope this helps

hi David, managed to have a chat with the very supportive practice nurse at Gp surgery. she is going to have a chat with Gp and when i see Gp later in week i hope to get onto CREON. Can you tell me, when taking creon can i then manage some fat ie cheese, chocolate and iccream, boy that would be nice.evan if only occasionally.never liked alcohol so not missed but miss cheese and occasional chocolate and icecream.thanks for your reply.
