Feeling Of Food Stuck In Throat For 4 Months And Now Occasional Ear Pain (Anxiety or Serious?)

Back in July I had a strange feeling of something stuck in my throat and upper stomach pain along with upper chest pain. It slowly got worse and i went into a whole anxiety attack bc of this issue. I went to the ER and they looked at me like i was crazy. sent me home with anxiety meds and said it was a sore throat, which yes the anxiety was true but still they didnt do much when it came to looking at my throat. I have anxiety when it comes to my health. I feared my throat closing up and not being able to breath. i cant do medicines though because i am a stay at home mom of 5. YES FIVE children lol. The anxiety attack didnt calm till i went to an ear, nose and throat specialist. He did a physical exam and said i looked fine but based off my symptoms he said i may have GERD so he gave me medicine to help and ran some blood work. a week later i went back and the feeling hadnt gone away. Based on my blood results he said i was fine and  so he said it could be allergies. he gave me an allergy medicine and said if it didnt get better to come back in 2 weeks to do an endoscopy. allergy meds also didnt do much. 3 weeks later and i havent gone back. i dont know if its even worth doing an endoscopy and it be nothing. slowly the sensation in my throat is lessening which i see as a big yay but today i started with inner ear pain and a mild headache in the lower back of my head. i also now have some blisters in the back of my throat but im thinking those are from a cold that was going around my household. for a week i had runny nose and a coughbut those have gone away just not the blisters. Not sure if i should worry or not. I also have bad anxiety like mentioned above so im thinking this could also be anxiety related so i dont want to go insane running tests and in the end everything be nothing. some days its worse then others when it comes to the throat sensation and like i said before its slowly going away but now the new symptoms are what have me worried so its causing the throat sensation to return. could the throat sensation be going away only to cause worse problems?

    Hello Harley

You have SIBO is a intestinal bacteria overgrowth.

I had the same issues and the doctor put me in a SIBO diet and antibacterial antibiotic and went away . But I don't eat fermentable carbs cause will make it come back .

    Good luck

the condition is so hard to deal with but yeah it is an anxiety thing because whenever i think about it, the sensation comes, some days it will be worse other days it will be fine. i did the exact same thing, going on tablets, had an endoscopy, they couldn't find anything wrong. rolleyes
