Feeling of something stuck in throat above Adam’s apple.

Hi,

In December 2019, i had a very bad case of bacterial Tonsilitus which got better after a course of antibiotics. In February 2020, i had a recurring case of tonsilitus, again resolved by a course of antibiotics.

For the past couple of weeks i've suffered from a mild sore throat but in the last couple of days, i have a feeling that something is stuck in my throat. It feels like its above my adams apple. I don't have any pain unless i try to sing, if i shout loudly, or if i tense up through coughing. If i try to sing more than a few bars, the area becomes sore. As i'm a professional singer and used to singing, this shouldn't happen.

I'm waking in the morning with a stuffy nose and a bit of a sore throat. Throughout the day i do tend to have a slight runny nose. I'm eating and drinking normally. The feeling of a lump is noticeable throughout the day although it feels like isn't as noticeable when i eat or drink.

I've tried to speak to my gp but i have to go through a text based conversation with a nurse who seems to play this off as a sore throat with associated symptoms.

I suffer from anxiety so my mind has been racing and ive read up alot of afflictions that are related to my symptoms.

If anyone can relate to my problem, please let me know.

Thanks.
