Feeling of something stuck in throat HELP

Has anyone ever had the feeling of something being stuck in their throat? Since yesterday, after I ate dinner.. I have had this feeling and at first I thought my tongue was swollen or numb and it does feel like that a bit but it just feels as if something is IN the back of my throat...it's scaring me and making me feel nervous. It went away a bit when I went to sleep but then I woke up and it started up again, and I keep clearing my throat and coughing because it's such an uncomfortable feeling! I had a really bad day of anxiety yesterday...shaking, chest pains, muscle pains and lightheadedness..the works. And I feel as if once that all stopped and I was feeling more normal / better, this popped up. I should also mention I have Acid Reflux, I found out from the ENT when I was there about a month ago. I also just went to the doctor who looked down my throat, said it looks like bad reflux but it's making me insanely nervous still.
Am I in danger? I've been so scared of having a heart attack that I just freak myself out over every little thing! They did an EKG just before at the doctor and I was okay, blood pressure a tad high but I was feeling extremely anxious.
Right now I'm getting clammy hands and even some random chest pains and a headache. So I'm wondering if maybe I'm freaking myself out over this and making it worse!
I hope I'm not alone in feeling this...it's really scaring me!

Do not worry, did the GP decide on any treatment for your Reflux
Generally a slight rise in blood pressure is caused by the worry of going to see the GP so that is nothing to worry about
Pleas stop worrying your GP has everything well covered I would imagine

Hi saraanne8,
Please don't worry I had exactly the same thing happen to me last year. Was back and forth to GP then finally paid to go to ENT consultant and Gastro specialist. It was all down to anxiety. It will go away promise. It's nothing for you to worry about.

You're not alone in feeling this and you're not having a heart attack, either.
This is anxiety playing its tricks on you. unfortunately.
Acid reflux doesn't cause heart attacks so I'm not sure where that cpnnecction came from.
Darling, the old lump in the back of the throat thing is something that is very familiar to people with health anxiety.
It'll go away eventually.
