Feeling of unsteadiness while walking or standing for more than 2 years.

Hello everyone! I am a 22 years old male and for more than 2 years I have been dealing with an unsteadiness feeling while walking, a feeling of dropping as if I am in a elevator that comes to a stop. This all started on February 2020 while I was walking to my school when suddenly everything went black and I felt like I was going to faint. Since then it has been the same unsteadiness feeling everyday. I have done many medical analysis about blood, head MRI, ears, heart ect. and they all resulted clear except the thyroid analysis. I found out that I had hyperthyroidism and i have used methimazole (unimazole) and now I don't use it anymore because TSH levels became normal. I also have been to a chiropractor who said that I had a mild scoliosis but i am not very sure if this is related to this unsteadiness feeling. Below I am listing some of the symptoms that I have been dealing with the most:

  1. excessive sweating even while walking or performing daily tasks
  2. out of breath after walking up stairs which is accompanied by pounding pulse feeling in neck
  3. feeling of a rubber around my head, also my head feels heavy as if my neck can't support it
  4. back stiffness
  5. chronic fatigue throughout the day
  6. twitching mostly in me feet and eyelids

Might these symptoms be anxiety related or is there anything else i should check out for?

    Thank you!

    hi,

I suffer with quite a few of those symptoms you have mentioned. The out of breath when walking up stairs and pulsing neck sensation is what really bothers me. I do know i struggle with anxiety and have done for years which i believe make it worst. Do you struggle with anxiety?

    Hello,

I have all the same symptoms as you, I'm still being tested but the thing is I have been like this for years. I am now leaning towards it being anxiety but not sure.

Do you suffer from anxiety? I used to have very bad panic attacks, now I don't get panicky, I have learnt to control my anxiety, so it's like in my head I'm relaxed but my body isn't...

Sorry to not be of any help but just to let you know you're not the only one with those symptoms.

well i never! i come across this post and some of this resonantes with me. i never that this sort of thing might happen to anyone else.

for me, if i stand still, i feel i'm leaning forward and about to keel over. I always manage to right myself. At I think that's what's going as this might be a just sensation. this happens when i'm standing still - in a queue for example. i've had this for literally years. as for walking, its only in recent years that i often feel swaying when i walk. that could be anxiety as i have that. i feel light head much of the day, everyday. could be a number of issues with me - too much ear wax, anxiety, my visual impairment (nystagmus - constant involuntary eye movement). The heat in the summer aggravates me.

by the sound of thing it could anxiety symptom. Vertigo even? I think I have vertigo.
