Hello. Ive suffered with anxiety really bad for the past 10 plus years I am 29 years old and always think i have some type of cancer or brain tumor. Recently i got my first covid vaccine. I want to start off buy saying i was really scared to get it and i forced myself to do so. well the next day My arms felt weak out the blue and i instantly thought what "what if it was the covid shot" since them my arms and legs have NOT stopped feeling like this as soon as i wake up in the morning thats the first thing i feel and think about. The more i think about it the worse it is. I also have this tingling on the inside of my limbs and even my lips. Im just not sure if anxiety can make me feel like this all day this is day 4 and its driving me crazy. Any insight will be awesome. I have noticed a few times i wasnt thinking about ot as much and was maybe not feeling it happen but as soon as i think about it then its right back feeling like this. My legs feel like i have to keep moving them. Like restless leg syndrome my arms also feel the same way. My anxiety is untreated i suffer with it everyday of my life.

it really sounds like the anxiety is causing those symptoms. It might be a little bit from the shot but anxiety can definitely make it feel worse.my suggestion would be to relax your mind as much as possible for several days and see how you feel. Keep busy because the worst thing you can do is sit around and think about it. Listen to soothing meditations on YouTube, take a nice soothing bath, listen to relaxing music, practice long slow deep breathing, talk with family and friends but not about that,
having anxiety for many years will intensify anything. A little bit of weakness after the vaccine is common. Just give it a few days. I think you’re going to be OK. If it doesn’t go away or if you feel worse then just let your doctor know.but right now it’s really important to settle everything down. ❤

thank you so much for responding. i went to urgent care the doctor there rushed me off literally wouldn't stay in the room for me to ask questions. I dont have a doctor but tomorrow i surly will. she did say it can be caused by anxiety or electrolytes might be off. I try to distract myself but all i can think about is the tingling and weakness.

i have recently experienced these symptoms along with an almost constant anxiety itch all over. My legs felt heavy and numb with tingling along with tingling in my fingers, around my lips, arms and hands. most likely this is all associated with anxiety.
