I developed a phobia of getting sick or being sick.....i really dont know how, and now im always feeling on edge, and some times too scared to eat just incase it makes me sick.......does anyone suffer with this also?? I hate the ''feeling on edge'' feeling, its horrible!! also my digestive system has totally messed up since this anxiety which doesnt help I just want to feel normal!!

Vonniexx, I know that feeling and it can be crippling, turning you into a recluse who just sits on the couch all day.  Don't be afraid to take that plunge by asking your GP for help.  I did a month ago and I already I'm finding my anxiety has dropped a lot.  I also find geting onto forums like this one and chatting to other people going through the same thing helps a lot.  This is the first forum I've joined and although I only joined it a few days ago I am already feeling much more positive about life and am starting to get back into my old hobbies.  Also, when I go and pick my daughter up from school, instead of just waiting there silently with the other parents and carers I have found myself chatting to them and instigating conversations.  I know I still have a long way to go before I'm back to my old self, but seeing my GP and getting onto medication has certainly been, for me, a big step in the right direction.

    Hey Vonnie,

I get that whole "on edge" feeling alot myself. Really annoying! Kinda distances you from the world like because it's all you think about. I find exercise really helpful. Gets all that exceeds adrenaline out of your system. Since I started excercising I've basically stopped getting this sensation altogether. Anytime I do I generally take it as a sign that I've been missing too many gym days.

Hope that helps in some way!
