I'm sorry you have GA. It is an auto immune disease. Research says there is no confirmed cause or cure, and that it will go away with time. I am 50 and have had it on various parts of my body for 20+ years and it's not showing any signs of ever going away. For me, it started with a small cut on the front of my ankle from a metal object (not rusty). Over the years it has come and gone in various places but never goes away. In recent years it has concentrated and settled under my arm pits and upper thighs front and back, although it is also in smaller, lighter patches elsewhere. Have not taken meds, but detmatoligist prescribes taclonex cream and I get a steroid shot once a year that seems to help. But it never goes away. The cream is incredibly expensive but thankfully insurance pays for it, and the shot too. I've not tried diet changes, but have heard gluten-free may help. I've read that Chinese medicine may help too. It's an unfortunate disease for sure. But I tell myself that I could have something deadly or life-changing. For that I am thankful... Plus the fact that it is not on my face and neck. It is somewhat unsightly and friends may ask about it, but this I can live with. I hope you have success in keeping it at bay. I've been inconsistent with my treatment and search for something that would help and have regrets about that. Good luck to you!

Dont waste money going back to the doctor.

I have had mine for 10 years. They dont spread fast and will go away but will pop up somewhere else.

I have been following many people with GA. No one has a cure.......

Just deal with it. Try to eat healthy

I think it is an immune thing.

A scientist studying skin diseases told me it is only cosmetic. Dont take a bunch of pills that will mess with your liver, ect...
