feeling really fed up! 3 weeks 3days after prolapse surgery.

I'm finding the recovery from Laparoscopic op for rectocele ,entrocele and telescoping bowel really hard. Iv'e tried to be really careful not to over do things but the pain has got worse over the last week. My vagina feels like its on fire and I constantly feel like I need to wee. The more I try and walk around the more the pain. I had a urine test last week which showed no infection. GP said take more pain killers. I so want my life back and to stop worrying that the surgery has failed. Seeing consultant for my follow up tomorrow and almost don't want to tell him I'm in so much pain.

I'm just a little over 2 weeks with my surgery i get like this sometime to everyone on this group is great they tell don't over do it this wasn't a easy surgery your body has to heal and,it's going to take a long time every one is different but we still have listen to ourselves on what we can do and can't do there are days i am fine and days i hurt that means i must have did to much sitting or standing or just to much walking you have to listen to your body that is what I'm doing and also have your husband or family help you with household chores you can't do that for a while hope this helps

3and a half weeks is early days yet and should only be trying to do 2 x short 5 min walks per day.
Should mainly still be resting maybe making a light lunch /mug of tea, and only if you feel up to it some light dusting but only for short while.
Please don't overdo things; just a little and see how it goes do not push yourself beyond what you can cope with this is a long recovery and when you think about if three months of being careful is nothing compared to the rest of your life.
Try giving your consultants secretary a phone and see what they say might just be able to put your mind at rest x
Take care x

The 6 weeks point is where I really felt like things were improving. As in I didn't have something surgery related bugging me all day every day. Now at 8+ weeks I am near normal - but not quite perfect.
