    Hi there

Funnily enough I was taking part in a thread earlier on about telling the difference between asthma and anxiety, is it p[ossible that what you are experiencing actually asthma, not anxiety? I know my asthma hads kicked off again since we've had all these pollutants in the air over the last couple of weeks.

Well when I first started experiencING shortness of breath last year I went to see a doctor and they said I had asthma. They gave me an inhaler and I used it but it never worked so I went to see an asthma specialist. They said I don't have asthma. I don't know what it is Or why I feel short of breath in the mornings

Hello, I always get short of breath in the mornings, it's really annoying. I don't know if it's just anxiety or not. I do smoke so wondered if maybe that had something to do with it. It is only in the mornings I feel like this though.

    Hi.

I have asthma, shortness of breath and told by my Dr that it is the anxiety making my asthma worse and   because anxiety causes you to breathe faster it then exacerbates the asthma. Viscious circle. It is very unpleasant. I wish someone would refer me to a pulmonologist and tell me how to improve my breathing, reduce the anxiety and help me stop worrying I am about to expire.

If you have had tests for asthma and have been told you don't have it, shortness of breath is quite common with anxiety.  Has something happened to create a new wave of anxiety recently? Sometimes though, it can sneak up without warning . Bit of an a*****e it is!

Good to let loose on here now and again with people that understand.
