Feeling sick?

Hi there,
had my first in fill yesterday and I'm feeling a bit sick now, is that normal?
I haven't been sick, just feel it.
I only had some smooth soup for dinner last night and a shake for breakfast so not too much - have been told to have liquids for a few days, then smooth food for a few more then back to normal ...
Would be interested to hear if anyone else felt similar ??
Thanks Rosie x

I had my first infill yesterday too at Wimpole street.... I've had a constant tummy ache, it feels really tender, all so I've had an upset tummy.
Hopefully your sickness feeling wears off soon for you 😊
Does your band feel more restricted?

yes e's I saw you there :-))))
im sorry you're feeling a bit off too !
I expect this will pass, just needs to settle down I guess !
I can't quite decide if I'm hungry or if I feel sick !! LOL!
I think ink the band feels more restricted but I haven't really put that to the test yet ! I was full after a small amount of soup last night and that was all I eat all day yday so maybe yes ! I'll report back when I have a better idea!
Have a nice weekend :-)

Hello, I take it you are both Healthier Weight banders? I have my first fill in a few weeks at Wimpole Street! Can I ask, did you feel any restriction before your first fill? I don't and it's worrying me. Also, was there any discussion as to how much they would put in or did they just decide?
Thanks and I hope you both feel good soon.

You won't feel too much restriction on your first couple of fills but you will after that!
Yes it will be tender and you could possibly feel sick aswell for a couple of days because it's sore.
I had the same problem with knowing whether I was full of hungry, you will master that soon enough! It's because you are really thinking about what you are eating and worrying about pushing the band!
I had my band fitted October last year and I'm still having fills every 4 weeks, I'm eating so much less and can't tolerate some foods!
if your anything like I was, when having the fill I struggled to keep my legs raised off the bed for too long! Which led to more prodding and therefore more soreness after! Practice lifting your legs and holding them there at home, increase the length of time each day and I honestly can really tell the difference! My latest fill was done in an instant!
Good luck ladies x

I dont know about anyone else, but I didn't have to raise my legs up when the in fill was done?? It went in very easily and quickly too... I was really pleased and surprised at how easy it was actually.

Good about the legs! Apparently if you lift your legs about 6 inches off the bed the port pops to the surface because it's attached to the muscle and it's easier to access.
This is probably because I am 20st and have lots of cushion hiding the port possibly! Xx

I just wonder if each Dr has their own methods tbh ... Anyway, I'm quite hungry now so hope some soup will fill me up shortly!!
Hoping a few more lbs are coming off anyway who h makes it all worth going through!!
Take care x
