Feeling sick off sertraline

Hi everybody I’ve been on sertraline for 4weeks now and I’m still feeling very sick everymoring with awful anxiety, I was just wondering if anybody else has experienced this and how they managed to cope? And also when will it ease off, would really appreciate your feedback.

    Hi Leo

It’s a common side effect of Sert, it’s early days for you and it should improve in time. Early morning anxiety is horrible and it might be causing some of the nausea as well.

If you can be a bit active, really hard I know, it can decrease some of the cortisol in your body.

Try to walk around a little in your home, go up and down the stairs if you have them. Anxiety often gets better as the day goes on. Best wishes Eve

    Hi Leo,

Sorry to hear your having a rough time with your meds. I am on zoloft 50, it is week 5 for me. I cannot relate to feeling sick but I can relate to the anxiety. When I wake up I don't feel to bad but as the morning progresses that's when it creeps in. Sometimes it's so bad that I have to take an ativan. I'm sure someone will give you some words of wisdom on the sickness. If you feel it's too extreme call your doctor and let him know. Stay strong,

Hi Brenda thank you for your reply, people do say that week 4/5 can get harder and increased anxiety, it’s a horrible long process isn’t it just a shame there’s no cure over night, hope they start to work for you soon

      Thank you Leo

I really have to agree with you on that week4&5 is terrible. I'm afraid of doing anything that can cause an onset of anxiety. This really isn't any way to live. The only thing keeping me together is that one day, hopefully, I'll feel better.
