    Hey there,

I am currently on 30mg, but was on 20mg for about 8-9 weeks before I upped the dose.

I think stick with the 20mg for a bit longer, especially since you were starting to feel better last week. Anyone can get blips during recovery where they feel bad again, I definitely have been having moments where I feel really low again on these pills.

The reason I upped the dose was purely for the fact that I was starting to cry every day and felt really really down, and even after upping the dose I still feel pretty emotionless and numb but slightly better, and I am going to stick it out for a few more weeks to see if it improves.

I completely understand how horrid intrusive thoughts are. I know you have probably heard this but every time a thought pops into your head, just let it stay there, don't try and figure it out or analyse it, just let it be. Just cause you think something doesn't make it true or make it likely to happen. It's just the fear towards the thoughts making them scary. Everyone gets disturbing and intrusive thoughts sometimes, most people just don't pay any attention to them.

If it doesn't get better in a couple weeks and you feel really bad, have another chat with your doctor. Some people say stick it out on a lower dose because recovery does take time, which it does, doctors say 4-6 weeks but usually it takes months to really feel the benefits of antidepressants... but if you are really struggling, a different dose or another medication may help you better. There are different antidepressants to try, and especially if this is your first one it may not be the right one for you. Some people find they have to try multiple before finding the right one.

Hope this helps, take care x

I have been on 10mg for 11 weeks now and I have more good days but still have blips I think it can take a long time to settle with some people but it is worth sticking with the same dose it doesnt always work to go higher, its not a quick fix but it does get easier we are all different so our response to it will vary my Gp said it can take 3-6 months for some people the fact you felt better last week is a good sign hope you feel

    better soon xx
