I recently started 25mg zoloft and with no side effect. But now i am on 50mg (day 4) i feel very spaced out, like i am not present and like a feeling of detatchment from reality.. This is driving me insaaane..

Is this a side effect of Zoloft and will this go away soon?

Please help

Thanks in advance!

Hi John, yes, this is a strange side effect of Zoloft and it will go away. It takes time. Also, sometimes it makes you feel "affected," like you have no emotion even though you know it's a sad situation and you should feel sad upon hearing it. It's a horrible feeling to not be able to feel when you logically know that you would and should be feeling. Take care. It will get better.

      Thanks for the reply.

How long is this side effect gonna last? Days or weeks or even months?

Its almost unlivable and I think i cant handle this feeling for a longer period.
