Feeling terrible

Hi, I am 3 weeks post THR and have felt so unwell for the whole time.
I reacted badly to all the pain meds but am fortunately able to stop those now, however, still suffering constant nausea & upset stomach from the blood thinners (7 days to go).
I have had several other challenges along the way, thrush, terrible constipation and now toothache and understandably a rollercoaster of emotions.
I am also struggling to sleep on my back for the whole night, subsequently spending hours each night awake, trying to get comfortable again.
I would be really grateful if anyone has any thoughts or ideas that may help with any aspect of my journey.

oh boy all at once this stage is just miserable. so sorry you have to endoure this. no one gave you quality advice before surgery to prevent all this.... shame on the surgeons team.
the surgeon administers anti biotics IV which in turn eliminates all the good bugs in the gut and thrush is a reaction of yeast taking over. =miserable plus tooth issue=miserable not to mention some new prothesis has been placed. nyastatin will help yeast gargle several times a day it is a RX. in case you have none at the moment. taste is yuck... then of course when drinking morning juice slip a couple teaspoons stool softener in or the OTC pills to soften stools. pain meds do plug up the system .walkin will help to , waking up the body after its been assaulted with surgery, attacked by antibiotics and not to mention the trauma of major surgery. its comparable to just been thru a parts repair shop lots of offending tools designed for repair. you have just been thru major surgery ... a lot. imagine how much more pain you could be in without the pain meds ....anti biotics ... its a catch 22... and the team should have cautioned you on how to take measures to prevent this.
i'm with ya all the way on this one. i've been there a few time . try to keep up your mood by walking , movies, keep your mind busy... when you can do bed exercises. cold packs on painful areas hip, knee.
l wish I had a instant fix for you . it's just a matter of time in a few days to get thru this hoop. there are many hoops along the way as we hippies heal. by x-mas it will all be a bad dream and life will be so much better . improved mobility and a better quality of life. the future is why you had surgery... no choice i know ...but surgery is freedom...a way to improve daily living it's a real positive when you think about your future.
take it one day at a time. stay busy get some sleep and family near by to help? i always say to lift my spirits a yummy chocolate bar - pudding a fav snack is a great mood stabalizer...
sending healing vibes your way.

thank you so much for your kind words and advice.
very much looking forward to all the benefits of the surgery rather than having to focus on feeling so poorly everyday

the day for all the negatives to finally go is the first day of feeling grateful for the replacement surgery. its a really dreadful stage you are dealing with ... time goes by fast. just walk when you can and dont ever over do or let any PT push you .
after 3 hip surgeries all I did was walk and sooner or later I forgot all about it...
it will happen to your too...moovin along with not a thought of pain .... it's amazing.
