Feeling the cold

Hi everyone
Hope you're all doing well and getting over your hurdles as and when!! I just wanted to ask the question if anyone feels the cold more as I have been lately (I've been through the menopause mostly and usually feel too warm). Just wondered if anyone else feels like this.
it's only been the last few days. I had my operation on 15 April 2016, and I'm wondering if it may be possibly be because of the injections to thin the blood, Any ideas please? I'm just wondering whether to give the district nurses a call to put my mind at rest.
Thinking of you all.
Love from Pammyw. xx

I have also felt the cold but I figure it's because I've lost my appetite since the surgery and havent been eating enough. I've lost 13 pounds in the first 4 weeks home. If you don't eat enough your body doesn't produce as much heat.

I have since been put on warfarin for life and I still feel cold.
Put it down to the blood thinners but if your worried put your mind at rest and give the nurse a ring, no point in worrying yourself silly. Love Gillxx

Definitely !
I was not sensitive to cold at all - it is differrent now - especially my legs feel cold all the time and it has not been a cold winter .....
I lived in Los Angeles for 34 years (been back in Holland since June 2014) and the last 3 years were just one terrible heatwave !!! that is not fun either - prefer cold in this case - sitting outside with blanket across lap !
big warm hug

Last night was the first night I haven't taken a hot water bottle to bed since my op nearly 9 weeks ago. I've also had the heating on continuously throughout the day with a fleece across my knees at times. So yes, I would say I have been more sensitive to the cold.
I'm glad I'm not alone - not that I want you to be feeling cold though. I think my skin seems more sensitive to everything, like when you've got the flu. I can't bear wearing rough or tight clothes. I just want to feel warm and comfortable all the time.

I thought I felt cold because of the blood thinners, I was on Clexane for 6 weeks. There was nothing in the leaflet about feeling cold- it did mention chills, but only as a rare occurance.Well I felt cold and had chills.
Now I've finished the course I'm hoping I go back to normal- if we ever do that!

I most definitely feel the cold much more since op - I get a strange freezing cold sensation inside around the hip area and down my thigh if that makes sense !!
