I have been having panic attack right before sleep...I also get a strange zap feeling in my chest as i am about to fall asleep. Sometimes it happens in my legs and shoots up. Ive also had twitching in my right eye at times when I get stressed. Whats going on? Can anyone possibly help?

    Hey there.

I find that I have panic attacks more often at night time when I am most relaxed. I'm not really sure why this happens but it seems like as soon as I stop moving my anxiety creeps up. I have the weird zap like feeling all over my body including my brain or so it feels. It feels scary when it happens but its just your anxiety which cannot hurt you, even though I know it feels like it can.

What I find helpful is drinking a nice calming tea I personally use chai but chamomille or lavander tea is suppose to help with anxiety. Also I have a wax melter in my room which I melt lemongrass wax melts which helps calm me as well. Music in the background helps as well as it distracts my mind from falling into thinking traps about what could be wrong. The worst thing to do is to give thoughts to the what ifs as we are not fortune tellers.

I hope this helps a bit.

Is it the body saying its anxious?

Yes it is, unfortunately even though we don't think we are feeling anxious or stressed , sometimes it's in our subconscious mind and just appears to hit us from nowhere and for no reason .

I'm not sure what causes it but I believe that its just a natural thing our body does but we are more aware of our bodies, thus we percieve these normal feelings as something bad and that causes us to go into panic. I've been trying really hard to not put so much thought into bodily sensations as it causes me to go into panic mode. I hope that you feel better.

I also have been feeling the same.

For about a month now, I have been having random pains all over the place.  Then at night when i lay down, i feel like i cant breath.  I have been to two diffreent doctors and the ER and they have all told me its anxiety.   Ive never had issues before so of course i didnt believe it.  Ive also had blood work and urine test which came back normal.   I think im finally starting to beleive it anxiety.  I have recently gotten into taking baths at night right before bed.  I use Dr. Teals bath salt and its so relaxing and i think helps quite a bit with anxiety.

    Hope this helps!
