has anybody else suffered from nausea after bowel resection, i have a ileostomy which is temporary .
3 months after surgery and im still feeling sick on and off , with a tightening in my oesophagus . which makes me think its acid reflux . tried various medicines but none get rid , they help but dont actually get rid if it . my doctors just keep giving me different meds , omeprazole , etc . im really feeling down as i should be better by now , my operation was in june . i also had an water soluble enema to see if my join in bowel has healed , but a very small leak showed up. they said no treatment it just needs a little longer to heal before 8 can have a reversal . anyone else had this . woukd be really grateful to hear from anyone .

Hi Pat,
I am sorry to hear that after all you have been through you don't feel better. I am only a week out with my colostomy so I am fairly new to ostomies. But if I were in your shoes I would be seeking a second opinion. At the very least it might give you peace of mind that something more isn't going on.
All the best! I hope things turn around quickly!

Im sorry to hear this is happening. I had a few complications, mainly anaemia and dehydration, and my appetite was not great, but not really any nausea. This shouldn't be happening 3 months down the track. What does your surgeon say? I have had severe nausea from the drugs from infections in my bowel, and it's a dreadful feeling. I hope you get it resolved soon. Sorry not to be more helpful.
