Does anyone else constantly feel weird even without the panic attack? I feel weird all the time like I'm not me? Anyone else feel this way and if you do what do you mean by the saying 'feeling weird'

I'm so glad I've just read all the comments there and that it just isn't me who feels like this!

I'm in Florida and I just wrote to another young lady in the UK  about my fears beginning at 13 yrs old.  But I also relate to all the below - at age 49 I had a complete hysterectomy and as you know in about 3 days all the estrogen in a woman's boy is gone, gone without ovaries.  And thats when problems start.  It was the worst year of my life because the doctor put me on all kinds of estrogen, ost didn't work, or dosage wasn't good etc.  I had all the symptoms and went to a group where we had all of these.  I know that, for me, it was the lack of estrogen which screwed me up for so long.  I suggest you have your estrogen checked. Especially you young woman,  you need that estrogen, and without it, or with it being very low,  your body goes into a tailspin. I took estrogen for about 4 years and then stopped.  This is a thought, but my daughter who lives in dubai has been having such problems and is having her estrogen checked - she is 49 and premenopausal.  check it ladies.

Hi Joanne how did you feel when you stopped the oestrogen after four years, I've been on hrt for a year but stopped a couple of days ago because I thought it might be contributing to my depression. I had night sweats last night quite distressing. Have suffered anxiety and depression for years quite severe . Totally agree that hormones play a big role in mood x

To be honest, I can't remember.  It was 20 yrs ago. but I know I didn't just stop. I kind of weaned myself off.  I did that at the advice of a menopause woman physician who didn't believe in estrogen and felt if you used it, to use it for the shortest possible time.  Here in the states we have a natural supplement called Estroven - doesn't have estrogen in it because you can buy it over the counter but some friends said it really helped them.  Have you looked into any medications?  Anyone else in your family affected by this?  My psych said there is a genetic gene in some families and my mother, her brother, his son and grandaughter are affected and are on meds.  I would be lost without my lexapro. My cousins take something different but each of us reacts differently to different drugs.  My 38 yr old cousin started with anxiety at about 17 and its 20 yrs later and she is doing very well.  These are just my thoughts and may lead you down a different path.  God bless you.

Since my anxiety started, my body seems to be hypersensitive, and my mind seems detached from the world. I overreact to every little pain because of the panic attacks. I think my mind is in belief that if I watch for all these signs that I could've prevented my panic attacks in the past and would in the future. I feel like I don't know what normal feels like anymore, because there weird feelings are all I know now.

Btw I'm living in New York (not NYC)
