feeling wiped out-flu like symptoms?

Hi all,

I have a lot of LPR type symptoms and its pretty bad at the moment. I'm currently feeling completely wiped out and flu like. I'm not sure if its the constant symptoms that are wearing me out or if I'm actually coming down with something else. Does anyone else get this? Its possible I'm actually coming down with something but it seems coincidental that its flared up with the other symptoms.

Aspirated extra-oesophageal reflux can inflame your respiratory mucosa and make you more prone to infections.

If you believe you have contracted an infection, see your doctor who may prescribe an antibiotic to help.

Meanwhile, just work on reducing reflux.

Thanks, I have made a doctors appointment but unfortunately the earliest i could get is late Tuesday (I made it almost a week ago but it wasn't deemed 'urgent' enough to get anything sooner). To be honest a lot of this might be because of how mentally exhausted I'm feeling!

Think you got it right on the mental exhaustion as if we're not going through enough, like you I'm two weeks to get in to see doc. Are you feeling as if you've not got enough oxegen in your blood or is that just another symptom I have now got, hope tomorrow's better for you

Yeah its a bit like that. its almost the completely wiped out feeling you get when you're coming down with something but it never actually comes to a proper cold etc. I feel very stuffy in my sinuses so I think I'm actually not getting enough oxygen in. I have a feeling it might be causing me to not get air in my I sleep as well because I never wake up feeling rested but I know I'm very restless at night. I'm naturally a nose greater in my sleep bur as I cant breathe properly through my nose right now I think I'm half waking all through the night. Have you had a diagnosis yet or are you still trying to work it all out? When I go on Tuesday I'm hopefully getting my ENT referral.

See if you can get a peak flow test done mine is very low. I've seen third specialist who said I have a weak LOS but if he operated it's only 50% chance it would help and he didn't think it was bad enough! I asked about throat problems and he offered to send me to ENT again. Been there thee times and he can't help. I've even had speech therapy haha that was no help so looks like I'm back to square one and that's all private! Let me know how you get on Tues.
