Feeling Worried

Has anyone experienced vaginal pain with this problem apart from the burning itch that accompanies it. I have had the condition many years now and thought I had it sussed when flare ups happened.. Recently though I have noticed that the pain is higher in the vagina where everything has narrowed (I had an unsuccessful Fentons procedure 3 years ago) and am very low at present. I can't sit down or move around without feeling really uncomfortable at times. I dread being examined internally because of the pain. I recently saw my consultant dermatologist 5/11 who was happy with the appearance externally although since my visit I have had another flare up. I am 60 next year and am beginning to get really worried. Would appreciate any views, advice?

I suffer more with burning than the itch, winter is worse for me as the cold weather comes. For me I have to keep my vulvar cool, but I need to keep warm. I only wear skirts , at home no underwear and long over the knee thick socks. When I go out I wear thick tights . I buy tights which have a separate gusset, then I cut this out. In bed if I feel hot then I put a pillow between my knees to keep me cool.
The more you worry about yourself the longer the flare. Try and chill , look for distractions, go back to your drs and get help if dryness is a problem. good luck.
ps. Never just sit ,always put your feet up and take pressure off, whether its a good or bad day.x

I am 65, and recently diagnosed with LS, at last, having suffered for over three years.
Yes, I too have vaginal discomfort. In fact, most of my itch and burning is just inside my vagina, and around the urethra area. And I also get lots of urine infections too.
In fact the biopsy that was done, to diagnose LS, was taken from just inside my vagina, which is where the dermatologist thought it looked most active.
I know it's always said that LS doesn't occur in the vagina, but as has just been proved with me, certainly it can at the entrance to it, anyway.
Yes, LS is the loneliest condition I have ever had. I've often wondered why it makes me feel so miserable. But, I still don't know why!!
Chin up, we all feel the same
