Feeling Worse After Period

The weirdest issue I have with perimenopause is that I almost always feel worse the week AFTER my period. Just as my period starts to fade out, when I'm down to a minipad and maybe some light spotting, I feel like I get the flu. Can't sleep, feeling cold, nausea, digestion issues (usually going to the bathroom more often), anxious, no energy, etc. Then it fades out as I head towards ovulation. I never had this before perimenopause, and I wondered if anyone else went through something similar?

Yup! I had minimal PMS symptoms before all of this began. Maybe a slight headache and a touch of insomnia the very night before my period came. That was it. I woke up this morning (day 8 of my cycle) feeling dizzy, nauseated, had to use the bathroom twice, anxious, and then started spotting out of nowhere when I went to pee.

Yes and when it first started happening i thought there was something wrong with me. My life is horrible now though, im very sick the week before my period, during my period, right after my period and the week of ovulation. I only have maybe 4-5 good days a month...this isnt living life anymore its torture!

It's awful. The nausea, the using the bathroom more (that's my main issue, waking up having to use the bathroom and it's often loose or "not right", when I never had digestion problems like this until my periods became irregular), the chills and then feeling hot, feeling anxious and wanting to cry. It's like having the flu for at least half of every month.

YES. I've been weirdly swimmy/dizzy every morning for the last few days. Just completely off kilter. The worst is that 90% of the symptoms fade out through the day, and by the time I go to bed I feel almost normal. And then I wake up at 4am the next morning feeling like death all over again...
