feelinghi wiped out from cold -humira

Hi there. I have been on MTX for RA for just over a year and I started Humira 2 months ago. I caught the common cold last week and while I have always struggled to shake a cold, this one has wiped me out! I just feel extremely tired with little energy. Typical that I'm flat out at work and then this hits me! Is this pretty normal for those on anti TNF drugs?

Hi, RA generally has a large dose of fatigue involved, when I over do it I soon feel knackered and that's not doing a lot but that's life with RA.

My experience with MTX is that is causes extreme fatigue, that for me fades a little bit as time goes by. When I first began MTX, I was wiped out with absolutely no energy for about five days after the injection. Now it is not so bad, as my body is getting used to it. I was on Humira for about six months a year and a half ago, I cannot recall if Humira came with the maddening fatigue for me or not.
I have mentioned this before, I hope people are not getting tired of seeing it, but give it a try instead. Raw local honey should help you avoid getting colds. I love honey so much I became a hobby beekeeper three years ago. Had two and a half gallons of honey from my hive two years ago, which is half of what is possible per hive. For a good hive, five gallons of honey per season is an average. But now I am allergic to honeybee stings, I found out last September 30 when one of my bees gave me a sting on my hand. Any way, there are safer ways to obtain raw local honey. Do a Google search for beekeepers in your area or search for bee keeping clubs, they should be able to help you find honey if you want. Perhaps a health food store in your area is another option.
I eat raw local honey every morning, two tablespoons and every evening, two tablespoons. There have been at least twenty colds in my immediate family within the past three years, even though I am on MTX and now Enbrel, I have not had a cold, even though I am around it quite often with a family who refuses to eat honey. I have not had a cold in over three years and I attribute that to the health benefits of raw local honey.
Please give it a try, you do not have to start a two tablespoons, begin with one teaspoon two or three times a day. Please let me know if this works for you.
