Feels like a ton weight in rectum

i’m almost at my wits end with pain and discomfort. For six months haven’t been able to sit, have to shuffle from one cheek to another or lay flat to take the pressure off my rectum.
Diagnosed with grade two cysocele and rectocele a few months ago, had ring pessary fitted by the hospital. It didn’t help the rectocele at all and became unbearable recently as it seemed to have slipped and felt like a knife digging into my insides.
Asked my practice nurse to remove it today, she said it hadn’t moved she but now the cysocele has dropped and I’m in more discomfort than ever.
After BM today felt like my rectum has dropped out ( for a while I thought it was a bad case of hemroids, but have tried all sorts and nothing solved the problem]. I sting and burn inside my anal area, the pressure is dreadful I can feel lumps and bumps, but over the last few months have had three GP’s have check me and found nothing wrong.
I am desperate now for answers and relief from the pain and discomfort.
I have an urgent referal to lower GI consultant tomorrow, just hope they will be able to find out what’s wrong.
I’m sitting on my tail bone as I write as can’t sit the natural way and that is causing another problem for me.
Has anyone experienced this before, I’m pretty desperate for answers.

I am so sorry you are so very uncomfortable . I was really pleased to see you have a consultation tomorrow. You cannot continue in this fashion! Although it seems maybe you need to see a gynaecologist too but this appointment I guess will identify why you are so uncomfortable rectally.
I’m afraid I can’t offer any advice as such although I had surgery in Nov for rectocele and cystocele and after healing felt so much better and it’s a joy to be able to sit normally.
I hope your appt goes well. Keep us posted

Perhaps he didn’t understand what I was trying to tell him about the rectum as nothing was said about it at the time.
i came away hoping that the pessary would do the trick it didn’t and my suffering is worse than ever.

Well I really hope that you can be assessed again quickly. June is far too long to wait x

It's a UROGYNEACOLOGIST you need to see with any pelvic floor prolapses as they've had 3 years more training in these problems than a straight Gynaecologist

A lot of girls can't tolerate a pessary soypu need it taken out ASAP. Lots also are desperate to find something for their prolapses so try a number of different ones to try & find one that works for them. Rarely ever is a pessary the answer though. Surgery is inevitable. But you must see a Urogynaecologist. Gynaecologists don't specialist in pelvic floor prolapses so you will forever be stuffed around with them. It's like hoping a regular dentist will straighten crooked teeth!! You wouldn't - you would go to an Orthodontist!!!!

Having it taking out has not made any difference to my rectal/anal problem but saw lower Gi consultants and have got a colonoscopy booked.
